On this episode of Podcasting 101, we talk with Catie Lazuraus of Employee of the Month fame. This is a New York based live comedy show. When her staff isn't tending to the building of her own personal moat, complete with organically fed gator's she keeps them busy with all the behind the scenes stuff that goes into making a podcast...even if it is really just one man...in a van...down by the river! Before interviewing Catie, I offer a podcast tip. A resource all podcasters should be using. What was once known as CommentCast, a Mac only iTunes comment aggregator is now a fully functioning web based program for Mac and Window users called ReviewCast. Also, if you're a podcaster looking for a free Voicemail set up. Checkout a really easy to use site called K7. It's a small seattle based complany that gives you a free phone number to use. Once you set up your account and give it your email address it will send all of your voicemails to you in MP3 form, straight to your inbox. Pretty handy huh? We also speak about the whole Podcast Patent thing for just a moment. If you are a podcast supporter or a podcaster, then you must check out this site. Listen to a small clip (video) from Adam Carolla himself. Help keep podcasting ours! fundanything.com/en/campaigns/patenttroll Contact us: Twitter: @Podcaster101

In today's episode I sit down with Geoffrey Welchman, host of The Inverse Delirium. If you're a fan of podcasts such as We're Alive or Welcome to Night Vale, other radio play type podcasts, then I suggest you give this show a listen. It's NPR with a dry but very witty sense of humor! Geoffrey will admit that he's not the most savvy marketer, and not all of us podcasters are. But he does give great tips on keeping to a schedule. How he keeps things fresh in his podcast, and how he's brought in guests such as Kevin Pollack and Lewis Black to name a few. This is a great interview with a very down to earth guy who's not looking for a way to make a living off of his podcast, he's just simply hoping to entertain. Whether it be a couple experiencing Netflix adultry, an inside look at the Voice Over Olympics or a reporter stuck on a chunk of ice with Scientists at war with a brutal faction of Walrus's. This sketch comedy show has a little something for everyone!

In this episode of Podcasting 101 we sit down with former S.W.A.T. officer of the law and lover of all weapons, Casey Bohn. Casey hosts the Practical Tactical Podcast. I'm guessing that you've already got an idea of what his show is about... The cool thing about Casey is he's still trying to figure out some of the specifics of running a podcast, which is great because that's what this show is about. Those of us that podcast, love podcasting, it's just we don't all know every in and out about it. We all have strengths and weeknesses and learning is the name of the game. Follow along with us as we talk all things podcasting. We talk guests, interviews, social media, and just like all podcasters, we're just trying to stake our claim in the podcasting world. One of the most reoccuring questions I get is "How can I make money podcasting?" Well, there are several ways to go about doing this. One of them is have a skill or offer a service that people want not only from your podcast, it is why they're listening, but also in person. Coaching is a big thing these days. Sometimes a little one on one action is the best thing! Jordan Harbinger does just that. He offers his expertise to all of his podcast listeners...outside of his podcast. This is a great episodes and Jordan was nice enough to sit down with us for far longer than we had planned so he could share some tips and tricks his fellow podcasters! He has advice for Podcasters of every degree...so sit back and as always, make sure you have that pen and pad ready because it wouldn't be Podcasting 101 if we weren't teaching you something! The beautiful, intellegent, voice of moms across the world, Jill Hickey from the Not So Soccer Mom joins us today to talk all about podcasting, blogging, and the days of internet radio. This is a host who has something to say. She was a fantastic guests who had plenty of questions of her own. BlogTalkRadio. Cost V.S. Quality. We talk about this for a good portion of the show. BlogTalkRadio is free, but their sound quality is far from even decent. Not something a podcaster really wants to deal with, but when your hosting a weekly live show, it offers some benifits. We come up with a method that may work for both of her audiences. Her LIVE listeners as well as the ones who DOWNLOAD via iTunes and other mediums. We'd love to hear from you. What do you think about BlogTalkRadio.com? We also talk about her days...er...years of blogging. Building a nieche audience and managing your "Brand." If you haven't yet, please subscribe and review "Podcasting101", we love hearing from our listeners. Also, if there is something you want to hear us discuss in a future episode please contact us and let us know, we'd love to hear from you! Also, don't forget to subscribe to Epic Podquest!
